Review of A Hero’s Homecoming by Carlene Havel

15747239This was a very enjoyable read. Rich Martino returns home from the military to discover that everything in his life has been turned upside down. I don’t want to give away the storyline, but suffice it to say, Rich discovers that strangers are living in his house. They own it now! His wife is gone and his father is comatose in the hospital.

The beginning of the book deals with Rich discovering what has happened and coming to grips with these major life changes. The middle of the book transitions to his relationship with God and a growing romance. The book was well written and kept my attention all of the way through it. The characters have a lot of baggage to work through and the author did a good job of making interesting characters and relationships.

I was graciously provided a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

About Brittany

As a homeschooling mom and avid reader, I get great joy through reading and reviewing books. I focus my reading and my reviews on Christian fiction, primarily Christian romantic fiction. I also review sweet, clean fiction. I hope you will find my reviews helpful in your decisions on what books to read.
