Review: Serenity to Accept (Grant Us Grace #3) by Elizabeth Maddrey

18212639Serenity to Accept is book three in the Grant Us Grace series. I have read book two, Courage to Change, and eagerly awaited the opportunity to read and review this book. I am happy to say that Serenity to Accept is every bit as good as Courage to Change.

Karin is a NICU nurse who is not a believer. Although she has a loving brother, she is still dealing with the lingering scars from an abusive past. Jason is an ER doctor and a believer. Even though Jason knows that he is not to be unequally yoked in a relationship with a nonbeliever, he finds himself drawn to Karin and their friendship quickly turns into love.

Jason wrestles what to do with these feelings he has for Karin and what it will mean to their relationship if she ever does accept Christ. Meanwhile, Karin is exploring the possibility of trusting her life to Christ. But, is her motivation to pursue God about her faith or about developing a deeper relationship with Jason?

After various complications and misunderstandings, will these two be able to overcome the obstacles that arise from past hurts in their lives to form a future together that will honor God? I really enjoyed Karin and Jason’s story.

I received a complimentary copy of Serenity to Accept from the publisher through BookCrash in exchange for an honest review, which I have given. (5 stars)
