I want to make a quick disclaimer at the beginning of this review. Dangerous Pursuit is not Christian fiction, which is what I almost always am reading and reviewing on my blog. However, this book is a clean read. The attraction between the hero and heroine heats up quite a few times in this story, however, never goes too far. That being said…
This book was quite the adventure. When Samantha’s brother disappears after a scary phone call from Brazil, she leaves her comfortable life and hops a plane to find him. She, fortunately, is able to enlist the help of the story’s hero, Brock, in navigating both Rio and eventually the jungle. There is lots of attraction between these two, but they are both very much opposites. As they fight the attraction between each other and run for their lives through the jungle, they both will have to decide what is most important in their lives.
This story has lots of danger, an exotic and sometimes scary locale and two people who are falling in love even though they seem to want such opposite things in life. It is a well-written adventure and perfect for someone who wants to get lost in the pages of another world, very different from their own. (4 stars)
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review, which I have given.
