Review: The Baby Rescue (Witness Protection #2) by Margaret Daley

18343257 The Baby Rescue is an exciting read with lots of twists and turns. It is part of the Witness Protection series from Love Inspired Suspense, however, each story stands on its own.

Both Colton and Lisette are likeable characters who are dependable and strong. Each struggle with situations from the past that impact the way they face the future. Colton, a U.S. Marshall, grew up in foster care and doesn’t allow himself to form true, lasting relationships. Lisette carries a burden as well and it has shaken her faith in God and others.

Through well-crafted characters and intense situations, the author has written a compelling story. A sweet romance is there, developing throughout the story, however, the larger focus is on working together to try to break up a gigantic child smuggling ring and save a little baby girl in the process. Through this harrowing assignment, Colton and Lisette form a bond that neither saw coming.

I enjoyed this story and felt that it flowed well. I definitely recommend this book. (5 stars)

I received a complimentary copy of The Baby Rescue from the author in exchange for my honest review, which I have given.
