Review: Dare to Love Again (The Heart of San Francisco #2) by Julie Lessman

18059982 What a blessing to peek back into the lives of the McClare family of San Francisco! I enjoyed reading Allison McClare’s story. Feeling the fool and brokenhearted, Allison is not too happy with men when the book gets started. So, of course, what a wonderful time for her to meet a handsome, if rough around the edges, detective who holds a grudge against wealthy debutantes. It is a recipe for a wonderful romance!

The author, once again, does a splendid job of writing multi-faceted characters. They appear one way on the surface, but the reader has the opportunity to delve deeply into their thoughts and discern who the true person is underneath. There is always more to a character than meets the eye in one of Julie Lessman’s books. I enjoyed Allison and Nick’s relationship that developed throughout the book, however, I must admit that I am completely absorbed in the ongoing turbulent relationship between Caitlyn and Logan. I love the twists and turns that this relationship keeps taking throughout the books and their moments are the ones that really touch my heart and make me reach for the tissues! I anxiously await the next book in this series. (5 stars)

I received a complimentary copy of Dare to Love Again from Baker Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review, which I have given.
