Review: Her Hometown Hero by Margaret Daley

21489529 Her Hometown Hero is the third book in the Caring Canines series, however, it can be read as a stand alone book. I really enjoyed this sweet story that revolves around two people who were once in love.

Nate is pretty much the ultimate leading man. He is strong, caring, and sensitive to Kit’s needs. He is amazingly patient, but is also trying to guard his heart. Kit left him once before, choosing a career in ballet over a life with him.

Kit is a woman trying to find her way. She doesn’t know what she is going to do with her life now that the career in ballet she worked so hard for is no longer an option. She does not even know what she is capable of or if she wants to remain in the hometown she has returned to. She once loved Nate. Can she allow herself to love him again?

Great characters and a wonderful plot make for a very enjoyable story. Nate and Kit must really question what God has planned for them and what He wants for their lives. They must each let go of their fears and learn to trust in Him. Great story! (5 stars)

My thanks to the author, who provided a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, which I have given.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

21489529

In a split second, a tragic accident ends Kathleen Somers’s ballet career. Her dreams shattered, she returns home to the Soaring S ranch…and her first love. Suddenly the local veterinarian, Dr. Nate Sterling, goes from her ex to her champion. With the help of a lively poodle therapy dog, the cowboy vet sets out to challenge Kathleen’s strength and heal her heart. He’ll show her there’s life beyond dance, even if it means she leaves town again. But maybe, just maybe, he’ll convince her there’s only one thing in life worth having…and he’s standing right in front of her.

Caring Canines: Loving and loyal, these dogs mend hearts.
