This is the third and final book in the Whispers on the Moors series. I have really enjoyed each book in this series, but have to say that this last one is my absolute favorite. The plights of both of the main characters grabbed me right from the start and I found myself very invested in these two people finding their happily ever after!
Cecily and Nathaniel are people plagued with secrets that weigh heavily on their souls. For Cecily, she has born the brunt of a bad decision in the past and longs to reconcile with those she has been estranged from, yet she fears her secret coming to light and the shame it could bring. Nathaniel’s secret could harm those in his family, so he bears it quietly and resolves to push through and persevere until things can be made right.
Oh, I so liked these characters! The story was interesting and captivated me from the start to the finish. The setting was beautiful and I felt that even though these two carried the secrets from their past, this wasn’t a dreary book in any way. There was hope throughout all of the book that things would somehow be made right. I loved the interactions between all of the people in this story and personally feel that the ending was absolutely perfect!
When I finished A Lady at Willowgrove Hall, I set it down and thought, “This is a book that I will definitely be reading again.” I enjoyed it that much! I recommend this story, and each book in the series, to those who love historical fiction. (5 stars)
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, through Litfuse Publicity, in exchange for an honest review, which I have given.
