Review: Deadly Dose by Margaret Daley

Deadly DoseDeadly Dose is the sixth book in the Strong Women, Extraordinary Situations series. I think it could be read as a stand alone novel, however, the reader will understand the relationships and past murders so much better if the earlier books are read in order.

I have enjoyed this series so much and Deadly Dose was a great addition to the other novels. It was packed with danger and suspense! The two main characters were very likable. In Deadly Noel, which was the fifth book in the series, I really did not like Josh. It was great to  finally understand him in this book and see what type of man he truly was. Jessie was a wonderful character, too. She had been through so much in her life. It was hard for her to learn to trust Josh and it was nice to see how she was adjusting to life since the last novel.

These two characters found themselves in danger time and again as they tried to determine who was behind all of the crime that their beloved town had been dealing with the last couple of years. The author truly kept me guessing till the very end and I never actually figured out who the villains were. She completely surprised me! I really enjoyed this story.
