Review: Cowboy Bodyguard by Dana Mentink

Cowboy BodyguardLooking for almost non-stop action and danger in a romantic suspense story? Cowboy Bodyguard would be an excellent choice for your next read! These characters are continually in harm’s way throughout the entire book!

Cowboy Bodyguard is part of a series. However, it can be read as a stand alone novel even though characters from the first two books do appear in this story. I really enjoyed getting to catch up with the main characters from book one to see what was going on in their lives.

I thought Jack was a great character. He exemplified a selfless type of love toward Shannon, who walked away from him before their marriage even began. I loved the way he worked to protect her, tried to share about God with her, and was always trying to think of what was best for her. Shannon was a character who frustrated me through much of the book. I liked the chemistry and attraction between these two characters, yet Shannon was so stubborn and had such a skewed view of reality. I did love the truly life changing growth she exhibited by the end of the story.

I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
