Wow! This story was fantastic! The plot kept me riveted to the pages as I waited to see how everything would tie together and what answers these characters would finally get regarding the fates of their lost loved ones.
Aubrey Madison and Sean McNair were extremely likable and capable characters. Both of them went through some very painful and trying losses in their pasts, from the death of Aubrey’s husband to the disappearance of Sean’s younger brother. Aubrey was also a loving mother, who cared deeply for how things affected her children.
The author did a great job of creating romantic tension in the novel, while still keeping the focus of these characters on solving these cases and also trying to survive. Lone Star Standoff is part of the Lone Star Justice series, but definitely can be read as a stand alone novel without any confusion.
