Trailing a Killer was packed with many moments of hold-your-breath danger and the sweet possibility of a second chance at romance for two people who had been through a lot in the years that they were apart.
The author did a great job of keeping me guessing as to who was behind all of the threats on Cody’s life. And Cody, well, it took awhile for him to realize exactly how much danger he was in. Goodness! He made some decisions that placed him right where the killer wanted him, but thankfully he began to realize that someone wanted him dead and that Erin knew what she was doing.
Alcee, the search and rescue dog, was a great addition to the story. I loved the connection that she and Erin had and the way that she took right to Cody, as well. This was a very enjoyable and suspenseful tale, with a good faith message sprinkled in, as well.
Trailing a Killer is part of a continuity series where each book is written by a different author. This book can be read as a stand alone novel.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

From medical secretary to court reporter to property manager to owner of a special events decorating company, Carol’s resume reads as if she doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up. But one thing that has remained constant through the years is her love for writing. She currently pens fun and fast-paced inspirational romance and romantic suspense stories. Her books have been nominated for a RITA® award and an RT Reviewers’ Choice Best Book Award.
Carol lives in sunshiny Central Florida with her husband, who is her own real-life hero, and writes her stories under the shade of the huge oaks in her yard. Besides writing, she works alongside her music minister husband singing and playing the piano. She enjoys sailing, hiking, camping—almost anything outdoors. Her two grown daughters and grandkids live too far away for her liking, so she now pours all that nurturing into taking care of a fat and sassy black cat and a highly spoiled dachshund.
