I enjoyed reading this book so much! What a situation these two found themselves in. Landon was such a great character. He had made some big mistakes in the past and even though he had overcome so much, it seemed like he couldn’t do enough to convince Kelsey that he was trustworthy.
Kelsey was definitely a difficult character. I liked her even as I felt sorry for her and frustrated with her at the same time. Her fear and concerns for her daughter were understandable, especially once I found out about her background and traumatic childhood. The way she would run away or leave Landon when they were in the middle of talking things out was annoying and showed that she had some emotional growing up to do. She was a new believer and that showed through in some of her struggles, as well.
One thing I really liked about this story was the way these two parents loved this little girl. Both of them wanted to do their best for her and cared so much for her. This novel had a great way of pulling my emotions all over the place!
