Review: Wyoming Promise by Anna J. Stewart

Wyoming Promise is the start of a new series, one that is connected to two other Blackwell family series, yet able to be enjoyed even if you have never heard of the fictional Blackwell family before. For those who have read the other books involving the Blackwell family, this story introduces another line in the family tree and a whole host of interesting characters. It even gives us a chance to catch up with some of the previous characters from earlier stories, too!

I loved this friends to more story! Ryder and Corliss had always been the best of friends through everything. Their friendship began in childhood and these two always leaned on each other through the years, even when they were far apart. It was eye opening to see that all of those years, even though Ryder was Corliss’ best friend, he had always wished it could be more. He had a love for her that lasted and I really enjoyed watching as Corliss began to realize that her feelings were more than simply friendly, as well.

Corliss’ son, Mason, and Ryder’s daughter, Olivia, were nice additions to the story. These kids had great personalities and it was clear that they both loved their parents so much. I really enjoyed meeting the various members of this Blackwell family and am excited to read more books in this series.
