Review: A Cowboy Thanksgiving by Melinda Curtis

It was so much fun to learn more about Bo. He was much more than just the handsome playboy of the family. While Bo loved his family, he carried some major hurt and insecurity from his years growing up in the Monroe family, leaving him feeling as if he was “less than” in some areas and looking to prove himself in others.

Max was also a complicated character. I really liked her and felt so sad for the tragedy she experienced of losing her parents when she was a child and then the heartbreak of being passed from one family member to the next, never being the person that someone chose to love instead of leave.

These two characters were definitely meant for each other, even though Max pushed at that idea and couldn’t believe that a love between them was a possibility. Their attraction to each other was sweet. It grew very naturally.

I really liked catching up with the former couples from all of the earlier books. This story felt like a good wrap up to the series.

ABOUT THE BOOK

A holiday visit…
Or a season for love?

As an orphan, Maxine Holloway has never known what “family” truly feels like. That is, until Max and her daughter spend Thanksgiving in Second Chance, Idaho, with the boisterous and prominent Monroes—including ridiculously handsome cowboy Bo Monroe. For the first time ever, Max doesn’t feel like an outsider. But can she let down her guard enough to let the Monroes—and especially Bo—be her home beyond the holidays?
