Returning to small-town Texas was her fresh start.

What could be better than running a rustic wedding venue? Event planner Laney Taylor has it all laid out…except for the serious renovations her inherited property needs. This was a sweet story with two main characters who carried a lot of insecurity from past events. I loved the way both Laney and Ethan’s hearts began to be drawn to each other as they spent time together. Yet they both struggled to truly trust someone with their hearts, even as they also both hoped that what they were feeling could work out.

Ethan and Laney had both been hurt by people who were supposed to love them and that affected how they reacted to each other in a few of the situations. It was hard to see them sometimes jump to conclusions, however, these characters grew a lot throughout this story as they learned more about each other while also learning more about themselves.

The twin girls were fun and a cute addition to the story. It was beautiful to see how Laney connected with both them and Ethan. They made a sweet family!
