It was fun to jump back into the world and new marriage of Frederick and Grace from The Mistletoe Countess. I listened to the audio book version and enjoyed the narration.
There were many side characters and I did struggle a bit to keep everyone straight in my mind. That might also have been because I was listening to the audio version rather than seeing the various names in print as I read.
The romantic chemistry was still there between Grace and Frederick, but it felt a bit more subdued to me. Yet, I could still feel their devotion toward each other. Grace’s sweet observations provided opportunities to see the faith thread throughout the story when she occasionally shared her beliefs with others in various situations.
This was a fun sequel in a unique setting and I definitely want to read more mysteries about these two, so I am glad to know that another book will be following this one.

I read the physical book and struggled at the beginning with keeping all the characters straight too! I enjoyed the book though.
