Giveaway & Review: An Amish Market

by Amy Clipston, Kathleen Fuller, Kelly Irvin, & Vannetta Chapman

An Amish Market

My review:

This was a really nice collection of novellas and I enjoyed it very much! All of the stories can stand alone for those who have not read other books by the authors, however, I thought it was fun to read the novellas that were connected to books I have recently enjoyed.

Love Birds by Amy Clipston – I just finished reading the first book in the series that this novella comes from. It was interesting to see things from Ellie’s perspective. I really liked Lloyd and loved watching these two as they began their romance and had to persevere through trials right from the start.

A Bid for Love by Kathleen Fuller – This was a fun story. I enjoyed reading about Hannah and Ezra. Ezra sure did take a while to understand that it was love he was feeling for Hannah. It was a thoroughly enjoyable journey to take with these two from awkward acquaintances to soul mates.

Sweeter Than Honey by Kelly Irvin – The series that this novella comes from is one of my new favorites. I have loved both of the books in the Bee County series that have already released and this novella does a beautiful job of telling Will’s story. Isabella was just who he needed and it was wonderful to watch her help him heal from the pain and resentment he has been harboring for the last couple of years.

Love in Store by Vannetta Chapman – This story features a romance that begins to bloom between characters who are a bit older than most romances on the market. Stella and David must navigate love while trying to solve a mystery that is plaguing their workplace. I really did not like Stella when the story began. However, the author did a great job of showing the true woman behind Stella’s bitter facade and showing how she could change with the help of a man who truly cared. Very enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this collection and think many Amish fiction fans will feel the same.

  20. Becky Lee says:

I used to read Amish fiction without any qualms but since I started working with & became friends with the Amish it has started to bother me. Maybe because there are differences between the different regions of Amish. A lot of the books take place in Pennsylvania & Ohio with one of the series I read in Delaware. I live in Indiana & the Amish ways are a little different than the eastern Amish. I find myself saying “That’s not right” fairly often. I have read Kathleen Fuller’s books.

  21. Carolyn says:
