My Review

Hers to Protect was a really good story. This was the first book that I have read by this author, and now I look forward to reading more of her books in the future!

Although this story is the eleventh in a series, I had no trouble stepping in and enjoying the setting and the characters.

At first, I wasn’t sure if I would like Josh Stevens very much. He seemed very cocky toward the beginning of the book, as he reacted to being arrested by the heroine of the story, Violet Hawks. However, I quickly began to like Josh as I learned his back story and saw that his behavior was a bit of a protection mechanism.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Josh and Violet and the line they had to walk between attraction and Violet’s duty to her job. I didn’t always agree with the decisions they made, but I still anxiously turned the pages to see how things would work out for them.
