This was such an great story! It is book three in the Cupid’s Crossing series but can absolutely be read and enjoyed without having read the first two books. This book spans the time period that the other two books take place in and the author does it in a very natural way that just makes sense.
I liked both of these main characters a lot. Andie feels like she has put her life on hold to take care of her family. She is doing a great job of running the family contracting company and has been for close to fifteen years. I liked watching her growth throughout this novel. She had a lot to evaluate about her life and what she really wanted from it. I also thought she handled the various situations that arose from Trevor’s concerns about the building renovations, even as she tried to keep her heart protected.
Trevor was such an interesting character. I really liked him and felt for him. The more pages I turned in this story, the more I realized how many times he had been betrayed in his life. All of these situations that he had lived through made him reticent to trust in not only the work being done on the mill, but also in life. I loved seeing the impact that Andie made on him, both professionally and emotionally. Beautiful story!
