I haven’t read a lot of Civil War fiction. I did read A Candle in the Darkness by Lynn Austin, and it was a wonderful read! I enjoy learning about different time periods, so I’m sure that I’ll love The Loyal Heart!
I do enjoy fiction set during the Civil War period. Great books, great authors…priceless!
I do enjoy post Civil War historical And romances. I particularly enjoy books about the settling of the west. I believe many soldiers left the east and headed west after this more.

I do enjoy Civil War fiction if it’s well written. I’ve enjoyed Jocelyn Green’s stories set during this time.
Would love to read this one. I’ve read her non-Amish books and have enjoyed them.
I haven’t read many books set during the Civil War, but I’ve enjoyed the ones I’ve read.
I haven’t read too many books during the Civil War, but I do enjoy all of Shelley Shepard Gray’s book. So The Loyal Heart will be added to my wish list.
I don’t think I’ve ever read anything set in the Civil War era, but since I LOVE historical I’m sure I’d enjoy this. Especially because it’s a Shelley Shepard Gray novel 🙂 What’s not to love, right?
I do enjoy reading books set during and around the Civil War era. That was such a difficult time in the history of our country. Often families were divided in their loyalties, which makes for interesting stories. Some books I’ve read focus on the difficulties during the war and others on the rebuilding after the war. I find it all interesting.
Since I live in Gettysburg, PA I read every Civil War book I can get. Thank you for the chance to win

Yes, I find the Civil War period very interesting, both in reading historical fiction and nonfiction, as I have done a great deal of genealogy research during that time period. Always greatly enjoy Shelley’s books! Thanks for the opportunity to participate.
